This lesson will cover the second and third of the commandments: You shall not make for yourself an idol, and You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God. To supplement the core texts from Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5, read Ephesians 5:5; Leviticus 19:4; 26:1; Ezekiel 39:7 and Matthew 6:9. Think about how we might be inclined to violate these commandments in our modern lives.
